Scanseal Prevention Maintenance Services

Having a Scanseal Prevention Maintenance contract will not only reduce the likelihood of any drainage problems catching you unawares, but you will also benefit from a priority call-out repair service.

Usually a blockage will be cleared either by using a high pressure water jet machine or by the use of a rotating coring plant. Once the blockage has been removed Scanseal trained engineers will check to identify the cause of the problem. If the problem has been caused through the system being either soiled or scaled we will routinely de-scale the relevant section of drainage, removing all rough edges which can be a major contributor to blockage problems.

Our experience shows us that most companies would have suffered an unpleasant encounter or even a flood caused by a "blockage waiting to happen". Such a disruption can have a catastrophic effect on your business, with both public and staff areas likely to be contaminated with flood water, damage to the company premises, sanitary fixtures being out of use as well as the unpleasant odours which would permeate the building.

The most common cause of drainage blockages is scaled pipes which slow the flow of drains and can lead to obstructions. Scale is capable of accumulating at an incredible rate, particularly in areas of heavy use such as kitchens, wc's, wash areas and underground drains.

Whilst people do try using readily available chemicals to combat the problem, this simply slows down the scaling process and does not clear any accumulated scale. Another point to bear in mind is that chemicals can have a detrimental effect on the structure of the pipes and pipe seals which can lead to pipe work needing to be replaced.

The only effective way to successfully maintain a drainage system is to routinely remove scale deposits and flush the system through.
